Parcel company Tuffnells has placed a massive order for SDC boxvan and curtainsider trailers.

A total of 220 new SDC trailers have been supplied through rental and lease provider TIP Trailer Services, with more than half of the new trailer fleet already operational.

Tuffnells operates a fleet of more than 1,110 vehicles from 33 depots across the country and has chosen the new trailers from SDC in order to improve efficiency, safety and security of its loads.

SDC’s group president Paul Bratton said: “Our focus at SDC is to provide the highest quality trailer solutions designed to enhance our customer’s business operations. We have a long-standing relationship with both Tuffnells and TIP, and this has helped us to obtain an excellent understanding of their transport needs.”

Tuffnells services director Simon Parsons added: “We are extremely pleased with the roll-out of our fleet renewal program, which will undoubtedly strengthen Tuffnells’ service. TIP has made the whole process very straightforward and the quality of SDC’s product is second to none, providing greater flexibility and more efficiency in our operations for many years to come.”
