Turnover hits new high at HS Atec

Yorkshire-based truck and trailer parts distributor HS Atec enjoyed a record year in 2006, with turnover reaching almost £8.5m. Strong profits are also expected to be reported.

Neil Fattorini, the company’s managing director, says: “We’ve had our best ever trading year; this is testament to all our staff.”

David Bingham, formerly national sales manager of RAC Auto Windscreens, recently joined HS Atec as sales director. Bingham says: “I was with Auto Windscreens for 14 years and helped with their rapid growth over the period. I can see HS Atec has very similar opportunities.”

Fattorini concludes: “David’s experience will help us move forward exponentially with our growth plans.”

Trucks using less AdBlue than expected

AdBlue consumption in 7.5-tonners is considerably lower than originally expected, allowing some operators to treat it as a service item - taking the responsibility away from the driver. This is the view of TNT's national engineering manager Steve Davis, who refers to his experience with a 7.5-tonne Euro 4 Renault Midlum.
