Facilities by ADF, the specialist support-vehicle provider to the TV and film industry, has expanded its one-marque fleet with the purchase of an additional 25 DAFs.

The Bridgend-based company, which delivers on-location support for shows such as The Crown, War of the Worlds and Peaky Blinders, has specified a wide range of vehicles, from 16-tonne LF box vans to XF Low-Deck tractors.

The company praised the service it has received from supplying dealer Watts Truck & Van, which has provided driver and workshop training, in addition to guidance on, and fitment of, Safe System equipment requirements for London’s Direct Vision Standard.

“We’ve moved towards a single truck supplier, simply because DAF delivers the best all-round package,” said transport manager James McDonald. “We use a single supplier for our trailers, a single supplier for our caravan equipment, so we’re delighted now to have a single source for our trucks. Moreover, the level of service and support from Watts Truck & Van has been absolutely impeccable.”

The trucks have been funded on hire purchase agreements through PACCAR Financial.
