Twenty-eight Volvo trucks in one-off sale at Manheim Leeds

Manheim will host a one-off auction of vehicles from Volvo Trucks this week at its Leeds site.

Peter Groome, used truck director at Volvo Trucks, said the sale at Leeds next Thursday at 3^rd October 2013 for 28 tractor units is designed to pull in operators who might not buy director from the manufacturer or its dealer network.  

“We recognise that there are some end users who like to buy from the auctions, they enjoy the cut and thrust of bidding on trucks and believe they will get a good deal from it.

“They are the sort of end users who won’t come and buy from us,” he said.

The 28 Euro-5 trucks include 18 2009-registered FH13 460 6x2s with Globetrotter XL cabs and 10 2008-registered FH13 440 6x2s with Globetrotter cabs.

Buyers will be able to see service history and ownership documentation, and the trucks have long MoTs, which will allow the bidders to buy with confidence, explained Groome.

“All the vehicles have come back in from two customers. The trucks are ready to work but they fall just outside our normal retail offer,” he added.
