The multi-temperature transport and warehousing company, Moran Logistics, has taken delivery of 20 new Renault T480 6x2 tractor units. Supplied by Thomas Hanson, sales executive at RH Commercial Vehicles, the new trucks join a fleet of more than 300 vehicles.
Mark Burrell, CEO of Moran Logistics, said: “We wanted to build a partnership with a supplier that will support our business and our aftersales needs and provide a personal response. We made contact with RHCV as they were highly recommended to us by a trusted contact in the industry.
“RHCV and Renault Trucks take accountability to keep vehicles on the road which enables us to keep the high service levels we expect, and our customer’s demand. This combined with the quality, safety features and environmental benefits of the Renault Trucks T fuelled our decision to commence this partnership to facilitate our expanding business – and the trucks look fantastic on the road.”
Moran Logistics’ new trucks are fitted with 13-litre engines with 480hp and 2400Nm of torque. The cabs are specified with heated and ventilated driver’s seats with adjustable lumbar support. Electrical outlets mean drivers can add their preferred appliances and the trucks come with 24-litre fridges.
Burrell said: “The drivers find them an incredibly comfortable and reliable drive. The team at RHCV have been very supportive through training sessions to help our drivers receive the best experience and utilise all the features on the truck.
“These features are important factors when the vehicles are being assessed by the Moran quality and environmental team. Effective safety features enhance the well-being of the other road users and allows our drivers to be confident when on the road.”
Burrell added: “Paul Pearson and Thomas Hanson have been very attentive throughout the entire process. These levels of service bolster the new partnership we have formed. As part of the company wide refresh program, we replace vehicles every five years. These Renaults were an additional 20 to facilitate the significant expansion we have seen recently. With discussions about our next purchases underway, I can absolutely foresee this partnership developing in the future.”
