Two trucks were destroyed at Handsworth, Birmingham-based TK Transport in a fire last Saturday morning (9 June). West Midlands Fire Service was called out just before 3am to TK Transport's site on Queens Head Road. A spokesman for the fire service says: "It was a severe fire in which two tractor units and two portable accommodation units were destroyed. The fire fighters were hampered by cylinders which were believed to contain acetylene, which meant they had to move back to a safer position." Five fire crews attended the scene and the blaze, which is being treated as suspicious, was under control by 5.30am.
