Iveco has signed up 24 dealers in the UK to its new Truck Station accreditation programme, designed to improve the service it offers customers.

Under the programme dealers must meet a rigorous set of standards covering staff training, extended opening hours and higher parts availability.

They must also provide tyre servicing and a truck wash facility, a waiting room with TV for drivers, free wifi, drinks machine, access to shower facilities as well as a priority lane for Stralis XP and NP vehicles.

All Truck Station sites will be audited annually and Iveco expects to have 250 dealerships around Europe in the programme by the end of 2017.

Pierre Lahutte, Iveco brand president, said: “With the Truck Station project we aim to create a specialised heavy truck service network on the main transport corridors across Europe.

"This project will improve our service performance for our heavy truck customers.”
