Drain and sewer cleaning machine specialist Rioned has said partnering with Isuzu Trucks to offer its Jet-Vac combination units on 7.5-tonne Forward N75.150 Urban chassis has proved successful.
For the design of the unit, Rioned partnered with Isuzu and Liverpool-based dealer Ditchburn Trucks. It has a high-performance vacuum pump and can be supplied with several high-pressure pump configurations, together with a PTO drive facility.
The Isuzu truck chassis is shipped to the Netherlands where the Rioned technology and equipment is installed. It then comes back to the UK to Ditchburn Trucks, which fits ancillary accessories, such as Chapter 8 LED light bars and reversing cameras, to make it fully compliant.
According to Rioned, more than 30 of the vehicles are in service with drainage contractors and utility companies, including MTS Cleaning Services based in Rochester, which has taken four Isuzu rigids fitted with Rioned Flexcom combination Jet-Vac units.
Sales manager at Rioned UK Mark Cox said: “For the last three years we have worked closely with Ditchburn Trucks and Isuzu Truck UK to provide customers with a reliable, productive vehicle with an impressive payload capacity. The close working relationship between the three companies has resulted in a growing market for this type of vehicle, which is designed to maximise manoeuvrability in urban areas with limited access, as well as incorporating a range of innovative design features.
“Supported by a full R&M package for both the chassis and the body, we can then offer this vehicle specification to customers at a fixed cost on either a contract hire or rental basis.”
