The United Pallet Network (UPN) has begun work on an extension to its central hub in Lichfield to meet increasing demand.
The pallet network is extending its Fradley Park home from 120,000ft² to 170,000ft².
Andrew Lowe, a director at UPN, said: "The investment in the hub, staff and equipment is essential to the whole network and demonstrates our commitment, not only to our members, but also our customers in delivering a first class service as pallet numbers increase."
Lowe added that staff numbers had also been increased and that the network had also invested in its forklift truck fleet, which now stands at more than 40.
