Volta Trucks is to open two new service centres in Germany and Spain as it expands its network across Europe. Volta’s Truck as a Service (TaaS) Hub network will open in Duisburg, Germany and Madrid in Spain with both locations offering customer support, training, maintenance, and servicing.
The new German Volta Trucks Hub is in Duisburg, to the west of the Rhine-Ruhr region - an area that is striving to become the first climate-neutral industrial region in Europe. The new centre covers 3,000sq m and has eight service and maintenance bays and twelve external truck parking spaces. There’s also a showroom, office space, conference rooms and the Volta Trucks Academy which will be used to educate drivers, sales teams, technicians, and fleet operators.
The Madrid site is in the municipality of Coslada, to the east of the capital within reach of the city centre. It is also close to Mercamadrid, Spain’s main fresh food distribution area, freight terminal and Madrid–Barajas Airport.
The 2,500sq m site gets four workshop bays, eight truck parking spaces, showroom, office space, a customer call centre, and the Volta Trucks Academy.
Confirming the expansion of the Truck as a Service Hub network, Casper Norden, chief fleet solutions officer at Volta Trucks, said “The new Hub locations in Duisburg and Madrid are a critical element in delivering the Truck as Service (TaaS) solution. They join sites already established in Bonneuil-sur-Marne, south of Paris, and Tottenham, in London. TaaS supports our customers and partners switching to an electric fleet by providing a range of turnkey components in one package, delivering competitive total cost of ownership and vehicle uptime, de-risking and accelerating their switch to the all-electric Volta Zero.”
