Volvo FH Globetrotter XL: Commercial Motor’s used truck of the week

Commercial Motor is starting a new series called ‘used truck of the week’, where we pick out a first-class deal from a used truck dealers forecourt.

The first ‘used truck of the week’ is a 2009-registered Euro-4 FH with a Globetrotter XL cab with Prestige trim from Middlewich, Cheshire-based Volvo Trucks dealer Thomas Hardie Commercials.

It has a 13-litre 440hp engine, I-shift gearbox, and uses EGR to meet Euro-4 emissions. Registered in May 2009, it has 410,000km on the clock and comes with full Volvo service history.

Used truck sales executive Jonathan Bownes said: “It has had one owner from new, its got good tyres, and is very straight inside and out. Added extras include moving floor equipment, Kelsa bar, spot lights, air horns, under bunk fridge.

“It has been working on UK-based moving floor work with a very respected local operator. It will be sold with three months Thomas Hardie Driveline protection, finance available through Volvo (subject to acceptance),” he added.
