As the new Formula 1 season gets underway this weekend in Australia, Volvo Used Truck Centres has announced it will be giving used buyers a unique opportunity to stand out from the crowd and own a piece of McLaren race history.
At the start of April 2018, the complete fleet of Volvo FH 4x2 McLaren Formula 1 race support tractor units will be available to purchase.
The vehicles are exclusive to Volvo Used Truck Centres and pre-orders will be taken on deposit.
The left hand drive tractor units are all equipped with Volvo’s D13K engine producing 540hp. The groups’ Globetrotter XL cabs were specified with luxury trim and leather seats in addition to fridges and microwave ovens.
Finished in colour-coded sliver metallic, all feature very low mileages, most of which are under 50,000 kilometres. Some of the FHs are standard chassis height and some are XLow 810mm chassis.
Every McLaren FH-540 has also been subject to a Volvo Service Contract since new.
The vehicles were all supplied to McLaren in 2016 for transporting their Formula 1 race cars and support equipment around the various European circuits.
Each will come with a certificate of authenticity produced and signed by McLaren.
The trucks will be supplied exclusively by Volvo Used Truck Centres in London, East Anglia, and North & Scotland.
