Volvo Trucks and Bus Centre at Worton Grange in Reading has reopened after a multi-million-pound refurbishment.

Located just off the M4, the facility will be run as a 24/7 operation providing support to London and the south-east for trucks, buses and coaches.

The site has 14 large workshop bays, part outlet and fully-equipped training centre, which will be used full-time by technicians across the network.

Volvo Truck and Bus Centre London MD Peter Groome said: “We are delighted to open this facility, which is in an important location for us. We now have major facilities close to the three major trunk roads into London – the M40, M1 and now the M4 – which is what our customers wanted.”

At the official opening Ian Wrench, retail development director, Chrissy Hollister, head of HR and competence development for London (both Volvo Trucks UK), and customers were able to get behind the wheel of one of two Volvo FH trucks that were in attendance to celebrate 25 years of production of the model.
