Volvo Trucks has announced that Mike Corcoran has been appointed to the position of commercial truck director.
In his new role, Corcoran will be responsible for the Volvo Trucks new trucks business - including fleet sales - in the UK and Ireland and will report directly to Arne Knaben, Volvo Trucks’ MD.
Corcoran has held several positions in various Volvo Group UK companies, including Volvo Financial Services, which he joined in 1999.
His experience also includes three years in the dealer network.
During the last year, Corcoran has been working as Volvo Group UK director used Trucks.
In this position, he was responsible for both the Volvo Trucks and Renault Trucks used business in the UK and Ireland, with brand-specific teams reporting directly to him.
Corcoran emphasised that in his new role he intends to work closely with the dealer network and customers to build on customer satisfaction and the continuing success of the new range of Volvo trucks.
He added: “I am very much looking forward to helping our hard working dealer network and fleet sales team to develop and grow our new truck business, right across the weight range - from 12 tonnes upward.
“We have a great product offer and fantastic transport solutions, such as Uptime Assurance, that are fully integrated with our core values of quality, safety and care for the environment.”
