The recycling and waste disposal specialist, W&S Waste Management has taken delivery of the first three of 12 Renault Trucks C460 8x4s with Boughton hook lift bodies. Supplied by Rob Coxon, transport solution executive at Sparks Commercial Services in Poole, the vehicles are part of a fleet refresh programme. W&S Waste Management operates a fleet of 50 vehicles which work on waste contracts for local authority household recycling centres across Dorset and Oxfordshire.
The new trucks have been acquired through a Renault Trucks financial services package along with a two year, 90,000km repair and maintenance contract which will be taken care of by Sparks Commercial Services depots in Poole and Swindon.
Paul Stanley, transport manager at W&S Waste Management Ltd, said: “Rob Coxon and Sparks Commercial Services have consistently delivered exceptional service for our other vehicles. Rob has always been outstanding. The favourable terms and impressive features of these new vehicles sealed the deal for us."
The C460s are equipped with 460bhp engines with 2200 Nm of torque, paired with an Optidriver ATO 2612 gearbox with automatic clutch. The cabs feature air suspension, leather steering wheel, air conditioning, heated driver’s seat, refrigerated bottle holders, and additional storage. Safety equipment includes a four camera digital video recorder, left turn warning, BBS reverse alarm, front and rear strobe lights, roof beacon, and two rear LED work lamps.
Stanley said: “We want to show our appreciation for our drivers’ hard work by providing them with these high-spec trucks. Happy drivers mean better performance, and these new trucks will be a welcome addition.
“With our operations particularly busy during the summer season, the timing of these deliveries is perfect. We anticipate that these new Renault Trucks will significantly enhance our efficiency and the wellbeing of our drivers, enabling us to continue to grow our business."
