Flour milling giant Whitworth Bros has taken delivery of the first tranche of 19 new FFB tipping silo tank semi-trailers from Feldbinder UK.
The new trailers, which comprise one of the largest flour tank orders in the UK in many years, are part of major fleet investment by Wellingborough-based Whitworth Bros.
The vehicles will replace older vehicles inherited by the firm following a number of acquisitions. The move will also enable Whitworth to reduce its reliance on rental equipment.
The FFB 58m3 tipping silo tankers feature the latest technology, including air drying systems, central locking systems and additional safety equipment.
Whitworth Bros has taken delivery of four of the new vehicles, with the remainder set to arrive over the next three months. Feldbinder UK will exhibit the last vehicle in the order at this year’s CV Show, to be held at the NEC, Birmingham, on 24-26 April, before it joins the fleet.
- Feldbinder will also be exhibiting at this year’s Tank-ex show, which takes place alongside Tip-ex at the Harrogate International Centre from 31 May.
