William Stobart and David Irlam are to step down from the Stobart Group board of directors following what the firm describes as an operations review.
Stobart will remain chief operating officer and Irlam will remain in charge of business development, but the move is designed to "allow them to focus their experience and leadership on the core transport and logistics divisions", according to a statement made to investors.
Remaining executive board members include CEO Andrew Tinkler, deputy CEO Richard Butler, CFO Ben Whawell and company secretary Trevor Howarth.
Meanwhile, non-executive directors Nick Watts and Daniel Dayan are also stepping down.
Stobart Group chairman Rodney Baker-Bates says: "The highly competitive and fast-moving logistics market demands experience and authority close to the key operating decisions.
"These changes will reinforce our ability to deliver outstanding service at competitive cost to our customers."
