Wincanton has renewed its contract with Irish petroleum retail chain Topaz Energy in a move that will see the long-standing relationship continue into its 21st year.

The pair are already in the 18th year of their ongoing contract to distribute petroleum products to Topaz Energy forecourts across the Republic of Ireland.

Neil McDonnell, contracts manager at Wincanton, said the firm was delighted to have secured the contract renewal.

"In the continued partnership, we're keen to demonstrate our dedication to obtaining best-in-class performance in key areas, such as health and safety, operational efficiency and continuous improvement," he says.

Last month Wincanton secured a contract renewal to distribute aerosol propellants and LPG for Shell Gas for the next two years, in a deal worth £13m. It has held the contract since 2000.
