Wincanton scoops award for smooth fuel transportation

Oil company Chevron has chosen Wincanton as its 'Most Admired Carrier' for 2008.

Following a 17-year partnership with Chevron, the logistics firm has been named Most Admired Carrier in the Africa, Europe, Pakistan (AEP) region. The award comes after Wincanton transported more than 3bn litres of fuels last year without a single lost-time injury.

The 221 employees dedicated to the contract were also praised, with Chevron highlighting successful driver performance.

"The systems that Wincanton has introduced and are now in place in the UK really stand out among some stellar competition, and we look forward to continuing to develop the relationship further for years to come," says Tom Hernandez, regional logistics general manager at Chevron.
