Wincanton seals £50m deal with Lafarge Plasterboard

Wincanton has signed a five-year, £50m contract to run the transportation for DIY product manufacturer Lafarge Plasterboard. The logistics group will handle more than 28,000 loads per year of dry lining and plasterboard from Lafarge's Bristol and Ferrybridge sites.

The customer operations director at Lafarge, Richard Buxton, says the group sees Wincanton as "an innovative service provider with a proven track record in the construction sector".

Thieves shoot driver with Taser and steal truck
