Wincanton signs £12m logistics contract with Miller Brands (UK)

Wincanton has signed a three-year storage and distribution contract worth £12m with Miller Brands (UK).

Under the contract renewal, the logistics giant will use its national transport network to deliver annually some one million hectolitres of brands, including Peroni and Miller Genuine Draft, to wholesalers and licensed outlets in Britain.

Operations for the subsidiary of SABMiller will be based at Wincanton's DCs in Lutterworth, Leicestershire, and Mossend in North Lanarkshire.

Chris Kingshott, MD for manufacturing at Wincanton, says: "The scale, flexibility and efficiencies of our national transport infrastructure give Wincanton a platform for the delivery of operational and environmental benefits for our customers."

The companies have been working together since 2005.
