Wincanton is fitting Isotrak's Active Transport Management System (ATMS) to trucks on its Britvic soft drinks bulk logistics contract.

Under the three-year agreement, the system will be used on deliveries from Britvic's network of sites including the National Distribution Centre (NDC) at Magna Park, Lutterworth, operated by Wincanton.

ATMS has already been fitted to 45 Wincanton Mercedes-Benz Actroses operating out of Magna Park, with the potential for more. The installation process was completed over a six-week period.

Isotrak says its system – which uses satellite tracking – results in fuel savings and improved productivity from workers.

Asda, Sainsbury's, Morrisons and Tesco already use ATMS.

Craig Sears-Black, Isotrak sales and marketing director, says: "We're delighted to have won this contract in the face of stiff opposition and against a demanding customer brief."

The monetary value of the contract is not being revealed by Isotrak or Wincanton.
