Wordsworth Excavations takes delivery of Volvo FM from Crossroads Truck and Bus

Crossroads Truck and Bus has supplied Barnsley-based Wordsworth Excavations with a new Volvo FM 6x2 rear-steer fuel tanker.

The new tanker will support both the on and off-highway fleets operated by Wordsworth as the firm expands its service collecting spoil from excavations and demolition, as well as concrete for recycling and delivering aggregates.

Wordsworth MD, Thomas Wordsworth, says: “Because we’re fuelling our trucks and equipment all over the country we need a tanker/truck that performs, is robust, can take 9,000km a year in its stride, is reliable and looks great. The Volvo FM meets all our expectations.”

Wordworth has also opted for a five year gold repair and maintenance contract with Crossroads, which is based at Birstall.
