City West Commercials has continued its relationship with Wrings Transport by supplying its 50th truck in seven years to the Hallen-based operator. The latest arrivals are 22 new Mercedes-Benz trucks with a mixture of rigids and tractor units.
The vehicles will operate on the company’s distribution network with ten 18 tonne rigid curtainsiders, two 7.5 tonne curtainsiders, and ten 44 tonne tractors all being acquired on a contract hire agreement.
During the last seven years, Wrings has bought 40 new Mercedes trucks and 10 secondhand units from Avonmouth-based City West.
Stuart Wring, MD of Wrings Transport, said: “From our headquarters in Hallen, we currently operate a fleet in excess of 60 vehicles, ranging from vans to 44 tonne artics, plus a specialist division.
“We love Mercedes-Benz trucks for their reliability and comfort, and market leading fuel economy. Our long-standing partnership with City West Commercials underlines their commitment to providing a great range of vehicles to choose from, coupled with exemplary aftersales service and an honest approach.”
Simon Johnson-Taylor, retail sales manager at City West Commercials, added: “Wrings have long been investing with City West Commercials and our relationship with Stuart is very much valued. Over the last seven years, they have added a truly iconic mix of Mercedes-Benz trucks to their fleet, including the Actros, Atego and Antos. As we head into our tenth year in business, we look forward to continuing this partnership with Stuart and the team.”
