Entering the home page of Wrings Transport a potential customer will be met with the eye-pleasing colours of red and silver. However, the look is spoiled rather by two large technical-type drawings of a Wrings Transport tractor unit. It looks a tad amateurish. This viewer would much rather see two large pictures of Wrings vehicles. However the simple and concise summary, coloured in red, of the company's main operation - Transport & General Haulage - which sits next to the drawings is well done.
This mood is replicated in the main text of the home page which gets you into the nitty-gritty of the company. There's no messing about with too many buttons or clicking options on this site. We learn when Wrings Transport was founded, where it is based, staff numbers and the range of vehicle types in its fleet. This concise information should be applauded but there is a feeling that the information is not specific enough. It would be nice to learn the names of the two brothers who own the company and some names of customers and the sectors they are involved in.
There is a Contact button at the bottom of the home page. Click on this and it opens to a Contacts page. Here we learn that the company has moved to a new group HQ. It would have been interesting to learn more about this. Perhaps in a news section? And there are no direct names or telephone numbers/emails on the page. Back on the home page there is a button called More Info. Click on this and we learn of customer sectors and the name of one of the Wring brothers. Finally there is a Historical Image section. This consists of four or five photos, presumably from the 1950s and 1960s, of Wrings' vehicles. It's great to look at but a written commentary explaining some of the photos would be a great addition.
