CM Show 2020: All you need to know about gaining DVSA's Earned Recognition

Ever considered joining the DVSA’s Earned Recognition scheme?

The voluntary programme sees hauliers regularly sharing fleet performance data in exchange for their vehicles being less likely to be stopped for roadside checks, or visited by DVSA officials on site.

Join us online at the Commercial Motor Show 2020 and hear first-hand from the DVSA how the scheme has been progressing since its launch.

You’ll also learn about the real-life experience of membership from family haulier Freightlink Europe, and the type of technology you might use for your data analysis from Aquarius IT.

And to help personalise the sessions for your own business, you’ll be able to take an active part throughout the presentations and pose your questions directly to speakers through live chat technology.

The Commercial Motor Show 2020 is an exciting three-day event, completely free to attend, that brings you exciting knowledge sharing seminars, alongside a vast virtual exhibition of the latest vehicles, technology and services.

Convoy truck shows at Donington Park and Pembrey both cancelled in response to Covid-19 pandemic

Convoy truck shows at Donington Park and Pembrey will be cancelled this year, in response to the Covid-19 pandemic.

“Your safety is always going to be our top priority and it’s for that reason and with heavy hearts, we are calling off this year’s Convoy events,” said Road Transport Media divisional director Vic Bunby. “Things had been looking positive for a couple of weeks, but with the recent rise in Covid-19 cases, local lockdowns and restrictions, we just can’t promise to deliver the kind of show you deserve.”

Those people who have booked in show trucks will be issued with a full refund within the next 14 days. All visitor ticketholders – so those with day tickets, weekend or camping tickets – will be contacted directly by MSV. The British Truck Racing Championship racing is set to continue at Donington Park on the weekend of 22 and 23 August, and under current guidelines spectators will be welcome. Please visit www.msv.com for tickets.

“But there is light at the end of the tunnel,” said Bunby.” We are already planning a bigger and better truck bonanza for all three of our Convoys in 2021 – Convoy On The Plain, Convoy In The Park and Convoy Cymru, and we’ll be announcing dates for those as soon as we can.”
