Port volumes upturn leads to wins for Axis Fleet Management

Long-term contract hire specialist Axis Fleet Management has revealed a swathe of new business wins across the country, led by an upturn in business for operators running in and out of UK ports.

The wins include the supply of seven vehicles to Norfolk-based Matthews International Transport; a five vehicle deal with Exodus Transport in Felixstowe and an agreement to supply two further vehicles to Warrington-based Revolution Transport.

Other new business wins include a deal to supply six DAFs to 3D Transport, a family owned bulk haulage company based in Northumberland, and a five vehicle order with Liverpool firm Ammax Northwest.

Leigh Goodland, managing director at Axis (pictured), said: “While these new customers work across all aspects of the transport and haulage sector, we are seeing a notable rise in ports activity, especially at Felixstowe and Liverpool, which is contributing to the increased requirement for quality assets.

“The flexibility and accessibility of a long-term hire contract, supported by our total service offering is an option which continues to appeal to our customers,” Goodland added.
