Specially DAF XF demos arrive in dealers to celebrate anniversary

DAF is celebrating 25 years as UK market leader with new specially-liveried XF tractor units which will hit the road as dealer demonstrators next month.

The DAF XF FTG 6x2 Super Space tractor units are painted in a special “liquid metal silver” finish and will be spread across the country at its dealer sites.

The twin-steer 6x2 FTG is DAF’s best-selling tractor unit, and the demonstrators will have a mix of 480hp and 530hp engines, and will be fitted with factory fit cameras and sensors to comply with the London Direct Vision Standard Safety Permit scheme.

“We genuinely believe that it’s back to business for DAF and the wider transport industry generally,” said DAF Trucks sales director Russell Patmore.

“We’re confident the time is right to kick-start new truck sales. We have our new demo fleet now in place throughout the DAF Dealer network and we’ve really pushed the boat out on spec and, of course, our special new liquid metal silver livery. We’re very proud of our 25 successive years as UK market leader,” he said.

“We’re going to celebrate the fact out on the road with our demo fleet!”

Horizon Reinforcing brings in reinforcements

Horizon Reinforcing & Crane Hire has added three new vehicles to its fleet which will be used to transporting steel as well as being available for hire.

A new Scania G450 XT cheesewedge with HIAB 558 crane and a new DAF XF 530 tractor unit with HIAB 658 crane will both be available for hire across Scotland while the new MAN TGM with dropside body will work delivering to construction sites.

Supplied by MV Commercials, the units will be supported by their support network with more than 70 approved locations in the UK and Ireland.
