Imperial sign up with Multipart

Laurie Dealer understands that Imperial Commercials in Frome has signed up with Multipart to supply its van and truck parts.

The deal sees Imperial Commercials "extended its parts support to van and truck operators across Somerset following its appointment by Multipart as both a VANfit and a Diesel Technic all-makes parts outlet".

With more than 2,000 parts for 12 makes of vans and more than 20,000 parts for Scania, Volvo, Mercedes-Benz, DAF and MAN trucks, it makes Imperial Commercials a true all-rounder. Fitting, as Ian Botham is one of the county's favourite sons.

Neal Latham, parts team leader at Frome, says: "These are two well established all-makes programmes that are sure to appeal to operators because of the quality of the products and their competitive pricing.

"Firms running mixed fleets with a variety of makes will find it simpler to obtain all their parts from a single source knowing also that availability is good and that we deliver direct to their door twice a day."

Jobs a good un.

250 Royal Mail lorries needed for Valentine's Day deliveries

Royal Mail Group is gearing up for a love-filled weekend, expecting to deliver 250 lorry-loads of Valentine cards.

Some 12 million Valentine's Day cards and letters are expected be delivered by Royal Mail before Monday 14 February. The high volumes are anticipated after a Royal Mail customer survey revealed 64% of respondents considered a card the best way "to speak the language of love".

Royal Mail director of consumer mail Mark Thomson says: "Of the many communication channels available, a card through the post is still the most popular and the best way to make your loved one feel special."
