A. M. Phillip, one of Scotland's leading suppliers of commercial vehicles, horticultural and groundcare equipment, are seeking a dynamic and motivational leader to join their small senior management team.
Reporting directly to the owners, this position involves a broad variety of operational responsibilities and requires a wide range of knowledge, skills and experience.
The Managing Director will work with the Directors and Senior Management Team to set, evolve and communicate the future company strategy, sustainably creating value for the shareholder. You will build and maintain the core Service Delivery, whilst investing to develop additional strategic ‘growth engines’ for the future.
You will balance delivering superior cost savings through operational excellence while continuing to develop a five star service for all service users, as well as leveraging strengths and building competitive advantage in new geographies and market segments.
You will identify and successfully execute change programmes, ensuring optimal, disciplined use of capital and resource allocation.
The Managing Director will define the culture and set the tone from the top; leveraging the culture commercially & operationally for competitive advantage, nurturing “different thinking” and reinforcing a customer and service user focus throughout the business.

Greenhous Group Ltd has taken over Adams Morey
Greenhous Group Ltd (GGL), owner of West Midlands-based DAF dealer Greenhous Commercials, has taken over Adams Morey, which holds the DAF franchise in central southern England.
Greenhous Commercials has a total of 12 locations, stretching from Newtown in mid-Wales to Stoke-on-Trent, including some Ford, Nissan and Volkswagen van outlets. The Adams Morey acquisition will bring this number to 20.
GGL’s chief executive Derek Passant said: “Mike Adams has developed a wonderful independent business over the past 40 years which has rightly earned a great deal of respect from its customers for the level of customer service it has delivered. The Greenhous Group will continue to operate Adams Morey under that name representing the DAF franchise and will uphold those levels of customer service at all of its eight sites. I welcome the 300 plus staff of Adams Morey to our company and look forward to further prosperity for Adams Morey. There is already a great synergy between Greenhous Commercials and Adams Morey, both are independent and operate to similar customer bases with the same customer focussed values. It will be very much business as usual at Adams Morey."
