Keyes Transport joins Pallet-Track

Essex-based Keyes Transport has become the 75th member of the Pallet-Track network.

It will begin running for the network at the end of this month, covering the CM Postcode.

CM was previously covered by Pallet-Track founder member Bartrum Group, which will continue to cover Norfolk (IP/NR postcodes) for the pallet network.

MD Peter Keyes said that having been covering two-thirds of the CM postcode for UK Pallets and the entire CO postcode, he expected halving his delivery/collection area would improve his ten-strong fleet’s operational efficiency.

“I’ll save on diesel and I’ll also be able to start using my night trunk vehicle in the day,” said Keyes.

Established in 1989, Keyes Transport splits its business between pallets and general haulage, dock-work.
Keyes said cost of fuel and rate pressure remained key concerns, stating trading remained tough.
