Collapsed Hardstaff's Portal Gas Services snapped up by Flogas Britain

Portal Gas Services, the liquefied natural gas (LNG) supplier arm of Hardstaff Haulage, has been acquired by liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) firm Flogas Britain.

Portal Gas Services was part of T. Baden Hardstaff, which traded as Hardstaff Haulage.

Hardstaff Haulage entered administration last month with the appointment of KPMG on 6 February, alongside sister company Charnwood Truck Services.

A KPMG spokeswoman told that the Portal Gas Services division was sold to Flogas on 4 March, while shares in the Hardstaff Group’s concrete safety barriers arm – Hardstaff Traffic Barrier Services – were sold to Safety and Security Barrier Holdings on 6 March.

Flogas delivers LPG to bulk customers using a 90-strong fleet of tankers, based across 32 sites across the UK.
