The Commercial Motor Show conference will include a session on the impact of Covid-19

Commercial Motor Show

As the government tries to strike the delicate balance of reviving the economy while savings lives, the Commercial Motor Show conference will look at the impact of Covid-19 on key sectors of the transport and logistics sector.

The lockdown has accelerated the trend away from high street retail towards online shopping, especially in clothing and fashion, and Dino Rocos, non-executive director of Clipper Logistics and former COO of the John Lewis Partnership, will analyse this phenomenon and whether bricks and mortar shops will make a comeback.

He will be joined by Tony Mannix, chief executive of Clipper Logistics, the leading player in fashion logistics, to assess the impact of Covid-19 on the transport industry.

Steven Cleary, sales director of Wincanton, will also be speaking in the keynote session on the morning of 29 September, looking at the role of infrastructure spending in helping the UK recover from the pandemic.

The CM Show is a new virtual exhibition and conference that will bring hundreds of exhibitors together with thousands of visitors without the need for social distancing. It takes place on 29 September to 1 October and to book a stand email [email protected]

Renault Magnum 480 DXI 4x2

Renault Magnum

Used Truck of the Day is a Renault Magnum in RHD but with a more continental 4x2 configuration.

This Magnum 480 DXI with a manual transmission looks to be in great shape for a 2006 truck and has been fitted with twin fuel tanks, side skirts as well as a TV and a fridge.

The advert from CPR Commercials says it has an MoT until October 2010, but thankfully it’s a typo and the ticket runs out on at the end of September 2020.

You can see the full advert here or search for more used Renault Magnum trucks.
