Montracon beefs-up machine carriers with MT70

Trailer manufacturer Montracon has broadened its machinery carrier range with the launch of the new 4-axle MT70.

Designed for operations up to 70 tonnes, key features include a lower approach 1,450mm air neck ramp, BPW axles, 4,000mm x 1,000mm double flip hydraulic ramps with side shift, a Warrior EN 6000 electric winch, two rear-steer axles, strobe and work lights and a full set of outrigger timbers.

“Due to high demand for the MT45 3-axle trailer, Montracon is now adding the MT70 to its machinery carrier range,” said national account manager for special products Jeff Wright.

“The successful modular approach of the MT45 means the same ethos has been adopted within the MT70 product.”

New used board member at TruckEast

Suffolk-based Scania dealer group TruckEast has appointed Shane Wareing as used sales director, which sees him join its board.

He has been responsible for the retailer’s used division since joining the organisation in 2010, subsequently increasing the department’s business by an average of 60%.

“TruckEast has a fantastic reputation and has always had a family feel to it – something that attracted me in the first place,” said Wareing, “I am humbled to have achieved this level in my career and delighted that the hard graft has paid off.”

The group has made a series of other changes to its board, including Harley Coulson’s move to sales and operations director and Martyn Clipston to group aftersales director for all branches except Wellingborough, which continues to be run by director Graham Broughton. All of the changes are effective from 1 January.
