EVTS has taken delivery of the 200,000th DAF LF to be assembled at Paccar’s Leyland factory.

The LF City 170 7.5-tonner, which is fitted with Paccar’s curtain-sided bodywork, is part of a fleet order for EVTS that includes two further LFs, two CF tractor units and four XF tractors with Super Space Cabs. This takes the number of DAFs on the Blackpool-based haulier’s 35-strong truck fleet to 32.

“We are, of course, very proud to have reached this important landmark in the history of not only the LF product, but also of Leyland Trucks,” said Leyland Trucks MD Brennan Gourdie, “The milestone represents the excellent characteristics of the truck itself and is also a reflection of the industry-leading quality of our 1,000 dedicated employees who deliver to our world-wide customers every day.”

The delivery coincides with the news that DAF will finish the year with a record-breaking 32.5% share of the UK truck market. Its previous record was 30.5%, which was achieved in 2019.
