Bowmonk Tapley will be demonstrating BrakeCheck, its DVSA-approved brake tester at the CV Show 2018.

Along with the BrakeCheck standard version, Bowmonk will be demonstrating the recently launched “BrakeCheck Geo”, which contains a built-in GPS receiver so the exact location of the brake test can be recorded along with the brake test results.

Other diagnostic products on display will include SensorCheck, for  diagnosing ABS-related faults without having to remove the road wheel, and TrailerCheck which allows single-man testing of trailer lighting, ABS circuitry and CAN activity.

Bowmonk’s on-board weighing division, which now caters for all vehicles from 3.5t to 44t, with either air, mechanical or mixed suspension, will also feature at the show. Visitors to the stand will be able to see a live demo of Bowmonk’s on-board weighing system, including Bluetooth link to a nearby smartphone for single-man loading or electronic recording of weight data.

Bowmonk’s weighing systems are also able to send weight data to various third-party telematics systems – including TomTom Webfleet and, via Bowmonk’s T5 Event Data Recorder (EDR)  an Intelligo cloud reporting solution.

The T5 EDR contains a built-in accelerometer, GPS, digital inputs and CAN-bus interface, and is capable of recording a wealth of information at very high resolution and then uploading this data to the cloud via its built-in modem.
