Chinese electric vehicle manufacturer BYD showed a pair of zero-tailpipe-emission electric trucks, both of which will be rolled out across Europe next year.
Javier Contijoch, vice president of sales, explains that they have been designed and developed specifically for the European market. He also confirmed that right-hand-drive versions are currently in development, and will be sold in the UK next year.
The ETM6 (right) is a 7.5-tonne urban delivery truck, while the ETH8 (left) is a 19-tonner. Both are powered by lithium iron phosphate batteries, and have a maximum range of 200km.
BYD has so far produced 90,000 battery-powered commercial vehicles, 15,000 of which are trucks.
