Cartwright has developed a curtain-sided semi-trailer for Pets At Home for a contract delivering to locations with low bridges.

The 4m straight-frame tri-axle with buckleless curtains marks a change from the pet food group’s usual order of double-deck step-frame curtainsiders. Pets At Home, which has more than 400 retail sites, has also ordered an urban tandem axle boxvan with rear-steer from Cartwright that offers better manoeuvrability when making deliveries to its high street stores.

The trailers were purchased through Cartwright Finance and maintenance is provided by Cartwright Fleet Services. Campbell Baxter, fleet and compliance manager at Pets at Home, said: “We are pleased with these latest trailers from Cartwright because they give Pets at Home the flexibility to access smaller, non-retail park locations.”
