Cartwright Rentals spends £7m on new trailers

Cheshire-based Cartwright Rentals, part of Cartwright Group, has invested £7m in 500 new trailers over the past 18 months, boosting its position in the marketplace.

The investment takes its rental fleet to more than 6,500 trailers, compared with market leader TIP on 16,000, Dawsonrentals with 7,250 and Ryder which offers 6,200 trailers, according to figures from CM sister title Motor Transport’s CV Informer.

Cartwright Rentals MD Phil Rodman (pictured above left with rental sales director Paul Burn) said: “We are able to provide the widest choice of rental products available.” The fleet includes the Transdek fixed-deck wedge; double-deck refrigerated products; the Streetwise urban delivery trailer; and tri-temp moving-deck and double-deck refrigerated trailer.
