Continental has updated its VDO TIS-Web fleet management software, adding new functions and a completely redesigned interface for the user.

TIS-Web Motion 2.0 now incorporates geo-fencing and push notifications to ensure planning and tracking are even easier, and in real-time, which the company says will enable dispatchers to react quicker and take on additional loads or modify routes.

Vehicles can be tracked in a map view, and colour coded for easy identification. There are filters to determine available driving time or additional load capabilities too.

The new geofencing feature enables preset boundaries to be defined on a map and notifications to be given when the vehicle enters or exits that area. This can ensure up-to-the-minute reporting of deliveries which can help with loading and unloading.

The user dashboard has also been completely redesigned to give more information at a quick glance. VDO TIS-Web 2.0 is also now available on desktop, tablet and smartphones. The new service will be rolled out to customers throughout 2019.
