Scottish haulier Derek Heeps is one of the first UK hauliers to purchase a new DAF XG+ flagship tractor unit, having placed an order for a 530 FT 4x2 tractor.

Other 530 XG+ orders include a pair of FTG 6x2 tractors for Myers Group, four  FTGs for ULS Heathrow, one for Broughton Transport,  single FTS tractors for Wayne Catt Transport, Leckwith Group and JPL Haulage, and an FTP for ABH Mansfield.

Meanwhile John Pearce Glynneath of South Wales has ordered a New Generation XF 480 FTG with DAF’s Digital Vision System, which replaces external mirrors.

“It’s been a hugely encouraging response,” said DAF Trucks marketing manager, Phil Moon “We have a daily sales tracker and orders are coming in at an impressive rate. We delivered a fantastic launch event, and the follow-up sales effort is now in full-swing – operators are obviously very keen to get their hands on the New Generation DAF.”
