What time does your day normally begin?
8am if I’m in the office, but anything from 5am if I’m visiting a client.
What type of customers do you normally deal with during a working day?
Everyone from directors of large companies to fleet managers and engineers and workshop managers, as well as trade organisations and the DVSA - we’re an accredited supplier to the earned recognition scheme.
How much of your day is spent in the office and how much on the road?
I try to spend one or two days per week in our head office. Otherwise I’m out meeting existing and potential customers, either giving presentations, helping with installation, or getting feedback.
How long have you been with the business?
I’ve been here for nine years, from the early days of developing a concept for an electronic system to replace paper-based vehicle inspection sheets to the multi-module systems we offer today.
What types of products are selling?
We’ve always had a busy order book, but following our involvement with the DVSA and earned recognition we’re seeing an even greater level of interest from fleet managers and workshops, who are looking for efficient and user-friendly compliance systems.
Will Brexit have an effect on the industry?
That’s a difficult question until we know more, but operators will be keeping an eye on discussions between the UK and EU on trade agreements and border controls. Many will look to technology to try and maximise efficiency in preparation for any changes that may happen.
