The trailer and rigid bodywork manufacturer Don-Bur has completed six liveried box van semi-trailers for the tyre wholesaler Bond International. Solidifying a 20-year working relationship, the new trailers are the latest Don-Bur units to join the company’s fleet.
The bespoke trailers will be used to carry tyres and feature reinforced internal walls to keep the trailer’s structure under heavy loads. Built on a step-frame chassis, the units are fitted with side skirts to improve aerodynamic efficiency and to complete the professional look. The trailers have a tandem axle setup and run on 235/75 R17.5 tyres in a twin formation. Thanks to the design to maximise interior space and make loading and unloading easy, the rear floor height is just 900mm.
Simon Ewbank, commercial director at Bond International, said: “We are thrilled with the quality and attention to detail that Don-Bur has provided once again. The new livery not only enhances our brand’s visibility but also reflects the reliability and innovation we strive for in our operations.”
The trailers were liveried in-house by Don-Bur’s graphics division, Sapphire Graphics. The designs were printed using the company’s new EFI UV printer. This type of printing should ensure the colours stay brighter for longer and the design is covered with an automatic protective clearcoat film to improve durability.
Founded in 1981, Don-Bur began with a 4-acre site and 70 employees. The business has now grown to a 24-acre manufacturing facility with a 550 staff working across the group. Don-Bur has a curtains and load restraint division, graphics team, parts division and three aftersales locations which cover repair, servicing, refurbishment and ATF services.
Bond International was established more than 55 years ago as an independent, family-run tyre wholesaler. The company has five distribution centres across the UK and supplies a range of premium, mid-range and budget tyres.
