Dunlop has launched a range of steer- and drive-axle tyres for electric and hybrid vehicles. The SP346 and SP446 will be available in 17.5in and 19.5in diameters and are Three-Peak Mountain Snowflake compliant.

The new lines replace the SP344 and SP444 ranges with a total of 20 new tyres; six 17.5in and four 19.5in sizes in both steer and drive. Tyre labellings for fuel efficiency, wet grip and noise level all go down respectively from E to D, D to C and from two waves to one with the SP446.

“The SP346 (pictured) and SP446 lines offer high mileage, strong traction and durability in all applications including long-distance operations, regional distribution and in urban conditions.” said Benjamin Willot, Dunlop director of marketing commercial tyres Europe.

“These tyres not only offer peace of mind for fleets but also predict future changes including stricter winter tyre regulations and the increasing use of hybrid and electric vehicles.”
