Eclipse Automotive Technology is a leading supplier of multi-brand diagnostics systems, with more than 3,000 units installed across the UK.

The company’s Jaltest CV and Trailer multi-brand packages are diagnostic solutions featuring guided fault diagnosis, with linked technical information to wiring diagrams, component testing and vehicle repair/service data.

The software is updated three times a year and can be simply downloaded by subscribers, providing improvements to the number of brands and models covered as well as extensions to the functionality of the system.

The constantly evolving system supports ADAS (advanced driver assisted systems) across truck, bus, coach and LCV sectors, allowing many extra diagnostic and calibration functions to be performed including those for lane departure, emergency braking and adaptive cruise control systems.

Further flexibility and functionality is demonstrated by the Jaltest PTE, which is a portable device to test trailers that are not connected to a tractor unit.

Connected to the CANbus, this tests and powers ABS or EBS braking systems as well as the lighting circuits.

Further information about Eclipse’s unique customer support structure will feature in tomorrow’s CM Product Innovation Daily. You can also visit eclipse-tech.co.uk/ to watch a number of tutorial videos and learn more about the product range.
