Emissions reduction specialist Eminox has celebrated its 40th anniversary in an event at its headquarters in Gainsborough.
Attendees, including staff, customers, industry experts and local MP Edward Leigh, toured the company’s manufacturing and testing facilities. There was also a roundtable debate on how emissions reduction technologies such as diesel retrofitting and dedicated gas vehicles can help reduce vehicle emissions over the next 20 or more years.
The range of speakers at the event included members of the Eminox management team and Will Milles, chairman of parent company Hexadex. Eminox, which was founded in 1978, employs nearly 300 staff at its Lincolnshire HQ and manufacturing sites.
According to the firm, poor air quality is responsible for 50,000 premature deaths a year in the UK alone. Eminox MD Mark Runciman said: “Governments around the world are committing to a zero-emissions future.
"However, we need to act now on poor air quality, and that’s why we are seeing increasing global demand for our exhaust after-treatment systems as cities around the world improve their environments and protect their citizens’ health.”
