Fraikin has won a deal with prestige customer Antalis. The paper and packaging specialist has spent £5m on 81 Daf LF 260s on a seven-year contract hire deal with the commercial fleet services provider.

The curtainsiders, which join the Antalis fleet of 160, have AS-Tronic 12-speed gearboxes, 1,500kg tail-lifts, reversing cameras and left-turn alerts. Fraikin CEO Ed Cowell (pictured above right), said: “Antalis ran a comprehensive tendering process and is a prestige customer for us to win.”

The agreement includes all repair and maintenance, six-weekly safety inspections, MoT testing, tyre management and 24/7 roadside assistance. Antalis makes 800,000 deliveries of paper, packaging and sign and display products a year.

Antalis regional MD for UK, Ireland and southern Africa David Hunter (pictured left) said: “The new vehicles will modernise our fleet and ensure our logistics operation supports the changing needs of a dynamic and growing business.”
