Temperature-controlled distribution specialist FreshLinc has added 30 new SDC Freespan Curtainsiders to its FLX general haulage division’s fleet in Carrington, Manchester.

The new EN 12642 XL curtainsided trailers have BPW Eco-Plus axles, Haldex’s generation 3 braking system, LED lighting, SDC’s easy-access coupling box and a full width rear compression buffer for protection when reversing into loading bays. They also have deck lashing rings and high security mesh curtains for load restraint.

“We worked closely with SDC to come up with a trailer specification that will really benefit our operation and give our customers peace of mind for the security of their product,” commented FreshLinc fleet engineer, Andy Marchant.

FreshLinc operates nationwide, delivering to a range of retailers, manufacturing facilities, wholesalers, garden centres and farms with its fleet of high-cube ADR-equipped 44-tonners.
