Guest Truck and Van, the Midlands-based group more familiar for its IVECO and Fiat Professional dealerships has now added London Electric Vehicle Company (LEVC) electric light commercials to its portfolio. Guest joins the rapidly expanding LEVC network of sales and service outlets. It will cover the Birmingham, Leicester, Sheffield and Stoke-on-Trent areas, as well as Coventry, where LEVC has its new factory at Ansty.

The LEVC range comprises the TX taxi, which has already sold in excess of 4,500 units, and the newly launched VN5, a 5.5m3 panel van. Both share the same lightweight construction of composite panels over a bonded aluminium monocoque and range-extended petrol/electric driveline, with a claimed range of over 300 miles, over 60 of which is in pure EV mode. Manufacture of the VN5 is underway at Ansty, with first customer deliveries expected by the end of the 2020.

Guest MD Rob Spittle (pictured) said: “Entering a partnership with a world-leading manufacturer of electric taxis as they prepare to launch an exciting new product on the commercial vehicle market is a truly exciting prospect for us. Our expertise and experience will allow us to ensure that LEVC customers in our areas have access to the best possible support nearby, while those invested in switching to cleaner technologies in vans, or taxi drivers looking to switch to the TX, can have informed conversations with a reputable dealer. This partnership represents another step forward for us, as the industry moves towards a greener future.”
