Guest Truck & Van is showcasing a new Stralis X-Way on its stand at the CV Show 2018 – a range Iveco claims will enable fleets to benefit from the best payload potential on the market, subject to vehicle specification.
On show is a 32-tonne 8x4 equipped with a 9m3 Wilcox mixer body. Thanks to the X-Way’s class-leading low kerb weights, the mixer chassis can consistently carry 8m3 of concrete, even when specified with a 3mm drum.
This specialist range of new rigids and tractor units is designed to meet the rapidly evolving demands typically found in the construction, plant, forestry and municipal sectors.
X-Way’s modular construction allows customers to specify a vehicle to meet their needs either on- or off-road, with three homologation setups: ON, ON+ and OFF.
Iveco UK and ROI business director Stuart Webster said: “No matter what they do, operators are increasingly looking for an ideal blend of on-road productivity, performance, comfort and economy with off-road strength, robustness and driveability. X-Way is the perfect crossover of these qualities, offering the lightest, most competitive products to cover all individual demands – carrying more, more of the time.”
The X-Way’s versatility combines the strength of a Trakker chassis with the fuel efficiency, comfort and driveability of the Stralis range.
It is one of the cleanest diesel heavy trucks on the road, and with the patented Iveco HI-SCR system as standard, it meets Euro-6 levels without exhaust gas recirculation, nor the need for forced regeneration of the diesel particulate filter.
The Stralis X-Way is available with a range of cabs: the AD (Active Day) short cab with a low roof; AT (Active Time) sleeper cab with a low or medium roof; and the AS (Active Space), which provides ultimate comfort for the driver.
